This November, we vote for congressmen, senators, governors, and local state officials. No, we’re not voting for a president, but this is the MOST IMPORTANT election period— more than most realize.
As you know, electoral votes nominate presidential candidates and help elect presidents. However, your vote – YOUR VOTE – where it really counts-- is this month! You are electing the very people who will become members of our legislative branch— People who create laws. These are also the SAME people who become members of the ‘Electoral College’ and vote for presidential nominees and presidents.
You’re also voting for governors and local officials who CONTROL our cities and towns— the way we live every day. These officials create and enforce local law, support us during a disaster, manage our FEDERAL banks and schools, and affect us DIRECTLY in so many ways.
IT IS A DUTY AND A PRIVILEGE TO VOTE You honor our country, establish citizenship, and most importantly protect your freedoms and rights WHEN YOU VOTE.
FIGHT for what’s important to YOU-- VOTE!!!
